Research Description
The main research interest in Ding Lab is to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms in neurological diseases including ischemic stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. The lab uses preparations of primary cultured neural cells, human iPSCs, and mice as disease models and state-of-the art technologies including cell-type specific molecular genetics (e.g., transgenic mice, viral transduction, and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing), in vivo two-photon imaging, electrophysiology, RNA-seq, metabolomics, human iPSCs-derived neuronal cells, behavioral tests, biochemical assays, immunocytochemistry, Western blot analysis, etc.
