Research summary

  • Ischemic stroke
  • Neurodegenerative diseases
  • Glia-neuron interactions
  • Reactive astrocytes
  • Metabolism

Research summary

Ding lab’s research focuses on two areas 1) Brain recovery/repair after ischemic stroke; and 2) Metabolic dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases (NDs). Combined technologies including in vivo 2-P imaging, metabolomics, RNA-seq, iPSCs, electrophysiology, biochemical assays, transgenic mice, behavioral tests, etc. are used.
