Like solving a jigsaw puzzle, researchers can find the best fit for those proteins by identifying complementary geometric and chemical traits. Computer-aided drug design, modeling of membrane proteins and other technologies can speed the work of investigators and create more effective ways to deliver treatment for a number of diseases.
