Dr. S.R. Wayne Chen, Ph.D.
S.R “Wayne” Chen, PhD, University of Calgary will be here as The James O. Davis Distinguished Lecturer and Chancellor’s Distinguished Lecturer during our XXIII Annual CV Day to be held, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Reynolds Alumni Center. Dr Chen’s research is directed towards understanding the structure/function relationships and physiological roles of the calcium release channel (ryanodine receptor) (RyR) in cardiac function.
Dr. Chen will speak about "The ryanodine receptor store-sensing gate controls Ca2+ waves and Ca2+-triggered arrhythmias".
